The Price of Nobility: Who the Woman from the Bus Really Was

The woman warmly thanked the brave man for his help and unexpectedly asked if he wanted her to tell his fortune. She admitted that she didn’t usually engage in such things, but for her savior, she was willing to make an exception, completely free of charge.

The young man was taken aback and politely declined, explaining that he was terribly late for a very important meeting. The woman sadly shook her head and muttered that only people rushing to their own funerals hurry like that.

Smiling at her superstition, Alexander clarified that it wasn’t a mournful event at all, but a meeting with the parents of his beloved fiancée. He added that he was terribly worried about being late, as it could ruin the first impression.

The situation was tense, as he had missed his stop and was now frantically trying to figure out whether to wait for another bus or run.

It even seemed amusing to him that the woman was so wrong about his destination while offering magical services. He didn’t want to upset her, assuming she offered help out of the goodness of her heart as a sign of gratitude.

As the young man ran towards the crosswalk, the Gypsy woman shouted a strange warning after him: “Go in through the side entrance, not the main one!”

The young man turned around, puzzled, but the mysterious woman was already walking away without looking back. He understood absolutely nothing of her words, deciding she was just a very strange person.

Just then, another bus left right from under his nose, leaving him with no choice. Figuring that waiting wouldn’t save him any time, he calculated that he could run to the restaurant faster…
